The National Junior Honor Society along with their advisers, Mrs. Garofolo and Mrs. Tanzer raised $247 by selling candy canes for their "Fill your teacher's stocking" project. All proceeds go to the Guidance department's backpack food program which directly impacts MCS students and families. Thank you to our MCS community for all your support.

Happy New Year!
As the SSC, I wanted to clarify our Afterschool Academic Support. This runs on Tuesdays/Thursdays for 2 hours, if needed. This is not mandatory for the students to attend. It is available to all, but especially for a student that is failing 2 or more classes. The process is simple, if a student would like to attend or you as the parent/guardian would like them to attend, I will need to be notified what day, how long they will attend and who will be picking them up, if the student is not taking the Crop Bus.
If you have any questions or concerns please contact: Tracy Reither treither@margaretvillecs.org or call 845-586-2647 ex. 1019

Subject: Boil Water Advisory Update – Bottled Water Available
Dear Margaretville Central School Community,
We want to assure you that we are fully aware of the current boil water advisory in our area. The health and safety of our students and staff remain our top priority.
To ensure everyone stays safe and hydrated, we will have bottled water available on campus for students and staff throughout the duration of the advisory.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we navigate this situation together. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Michelle
Superintendent
Margaretville Central School District

The youth basketball games this morning at Tannersville are ON. Nothing has been canceled; all games start at 10:00.

Reminder youth hoops practice 5-6:30 - in small gym. Giving out shirts. If you can't make it no problem. I will bring to the game tomorrow.

January Youth Basketball Schedule

Attention Basketball Parents - practice tomorrow 5-6:30. We will be handing out the shirts. If you can't make it no worries - I can hand out at the game on Saturday, Jan 4 - 10am in Tannersville.

Ski Parents - Cont. - Belleayre will have the forms you filled out during sign-up. A pre-visit fitting would save time next week during our scheduled times.

Attention elementary ski parents - Belleayre is asking if any children participating in the program could visit the rental shop 1/2, 1/3, 1/5, or 1/6 anytime after 2pm to get sized up for their equipment.

Boys JV and Varsity games on January 6th vs Onteora have been cancelled. They will not be rescheduled.

Happy Holidays!

Students in grades Pre-K - 5 participated in our 2nd Annual Hot Cocoa and a Card event. Each student made a card with a warm holiday message and colorful picture to be given to all of the residents at Mountainside Nursing Home. They were then able to warm their own hearts with a cup of hot cocoa and marshmallows afterwards. Thank you to all the students for spreading warmth & kindness to others in our community!
