MCS Scitamard Society Shines in Women Who Weave
Congratulations to the members of the Scitamard Society for their successful performances of Women Who Weave by J.S. Puller. The cast and crew displayed their talents to large audiences this past weekend under the direction of MCS English teacher, Kristin Vignona. The show follows the lives of three female heroines from Greek mythology through humor, creativity, and a message to inspire young girls to be brave and confident.
The play was a result of months of hard work and dedication by the students, who rehearsed outside of school hours. They also designed and made their own costumes, props, and set pieces, with the help of their advisors and volunteers.
Thank you to the Scitamard Society members, advisors, and volunteers for bringing performing opportunities to showcase the many talented members of our school community, both onstage and behind the scenes.
The Scitamard Society is planning to perform a musical in the spring, which will be announced soon! If your child in grade 6-12 is interested in participating in the Scitamard Society, please have them notify Jen Sobas, Kristin Vignona, or Jenna Tucker.
