Dear Margaretville Central School Community,
The Board of Education has been committed to making sure we have access to strong mental health services. At MCS we have both a High School Counselor and an Elementary Counselor. Additionally, we have access to our very own full time Clinical Social Worker and a Preventative Services Caseworker from The Department of Social Services.
Principal Giardino and the Counseling Staff at MCS have met with students to connect them with the resources they have in the building.
Principal Giardino has connected with staff on a more personal level to attend to their needs and the district is looking for additional resources as well.
This week’s assembly by Sweethearts and Heroes along with follow up Restorative Circle Sessions have been impactful in such a positive way to our school community. We will have additional Circle Trainings in the future with Sweethearts and Heroes because this work is important.
The mental health and overall well being of our school community is paramount to our success as a school community!
