A selection of artwork by Margaretville Central School students will be on exhibit at the Roxbury Arts Group's Walter Meade Gallery in Roxbury from May 12 through June 24. The opening of the exhibit, titled "Emerging Artists," is on Friday, May 12, from 4 to 6 p.m.
The exhibit features pieces by students in kindergarten through 12th grade, as well as artwork by Roxbury Central School students. The catalog of pieces by MCS students is as follows:

Also on display will be the two dresses created by the Margaretville Central School Olympics of the Visual Arts (OVA) teams, both of which won awards at last month's competition in Saratoga Springs. The middle school team, which placed first in the Uniform Fashion Design category, was made up of the following seventh grade students: Gabriella Sines, Mackenzie Scully, Madison Rizzo, Atticus Idleman, Julia Balcom-Salazar, Grace Grocholl, Elise Norwick, Grace Fairbairn, LilliAnn Van Benschoten, Savannah Montminy and Angel Garcia-Jimenez. The middle school team is led by art teacher Katy DiBenedetto.
The high school team, led by art teacher Michele Dietz, earned the Hyndman Creativity Award for most creative overall. High school OVA students are: Miley Balcom, Grace Hull, Olivia Wells, Yamilet Perez, Merlinda Camaano-Gonzalez, Jalyn Torres, Samantha VonBernewitz, Denzel Cortez, Leonardo Cordero, Alyssa Maggio, Bella Andre, Emma Rotella, Holly VonBernewitz, and Vivica Brewer.
The opening and exhibit are free of charge.
